A vibrant Spanish-inspired blend from Bryan Martin, combining Tempranillo with Graciano and Garnacha in a fresh, savoury and highly drinkable style. Sourced from multiple cool-climate vineyards across Hilltops, Gundagai and Canberra District, the wine focuses on purity, spice and energy rather than heaviness. The nose shows fresh cherry, raspberry and red plum alongside dried herbs, roasted red pepper, black pepper and subtle licorice spice. There’s a lifted Mediterranean feel to the aromatics, with plenty of freshness and savoury complexity.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied, juicy and energetic with bright acidity, crunchy red fruits and fine gritty tannins. The Tempranillo brings structure, the Graciano adds spice and freshness, while the Garnacha softens the blend with vibrant fruit and approachability.
Ben’s Recommendation:
A seriously enjoyable modern Australian take on a Spanish tinto — bright, savoury and dangerously drinkable. Best served slightly chilled with tapas, grilled chorizo, pizza or shared Mediterranean-style dishes. Drink now through 2032+.
