The 2023 Woodstock Deep Sands Shiraz is a vibrant McLaren Vale Shiraz sourced from the sandy soils of Blewitt Springs, a sub-region known for producing more perfumed and finely structured expressions of Shiraz. The deep sandy soils and slightly cooler microclimate help create a wine that balances richness with freshness and elegance. The nose is expressive and lifted, revealing aromas of cherry, blackberry and plum layered with white pepper spice, dark chocolate and subtle earthy notes. 

On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with soft yet structured tannins and balanced acidity providing freshness and flow. Flavours of dark plum, blackberry and black cherry are supported by savoury spice, gentle oak influence and subtle cocoa notes, while the texture remains smooth and approachable throughout. A portion of the wine was matured in seasoned oak, adding complexity without overshadowing the bright fruit profile.
