The brilliant burst of colour is the first indication that this is something special. The nose doesn’t disappoint. Highly perfumed with floral plum and cherry notes and a little light chocolate. Graceful lines on the palate, which is expressive and powerful, though the influence of Eden Valley adds a lightness of touch. Only 10% new French oak and the rest seasoned, but that little oak influence brings a delightful lift to the palate. Outstanding wine. - 97 points, Ray Jordan
