2019 Heathcote Estate Block F Shiraz is a powerful single-block expression from the renowned Heathcote, showcasing the depth and intensity that the region’s ancient Cambrian soils are famous for. Sourced from the estate’s prized Block F vineyard, the wine delivers remarkable concentration, purity and structure.
Fragrant aromatics of violets, red berries and spice lift from the glass, leading to a beautifully poised palate layered with vibrant fruit, fine tannins and silky texture. The wine is both powerful and elegant, finishing long and refined.
Hand-picked fruit was fermented in small batches with a portion of whole bunches, then matured for around 11 months in 500L French oak puncheons, adding subtle structure and complexity while preserving the purity of the Shiraz fruit.
This limited single-block release captures the classic style of Heathcote Shiraz: intense yet balanced, richly flavoured yet finely structured, with excellent potential to develop further complexity in bottle over the next decade.
