The 2023 Valli Vineyards Bendigo Vineyard Pinot Noir is a powerful and deeply expressive single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Bendigo in Central Otago, representing the richest and most structured side of Valli’s regional Pinot Noir collection. Founded by pioneering Central Otago winemaker Grant Taylor, Valli focuses on producing single-vineyard wines that highlight the differences between Central Otago’s subregions. The Bendigo site sits at elevation, helping retain freshness despite the warmer conditions of the subregion. The 2023 shows blackberry, dark cherry and plum alongside lily, sweet pea, rosemary, cedar and subtle dark chocolate, giving the wine an impressive combination of ripe fruit, florals and savoury complexity.
