Dark garnet red. Nose is characteristic, intense, sweet spices, violet, balsamic notes. Warm, soft, clean, fresh, soft tannins, long and pleasant finish.
Ripe and juicy, offering macerated cherry, currant, raspberry, loam and eucalyptus flavors. Firms up, with a tobacco element emerging on the long finish. Feels almost approachable now, until the dusty tannins kick in. Best from 2022 through 2042. – 94 points, Wine Spectator
