The 2022 Claude Dugat Bourgogne Rouge is a highly sought-after regional Burgundy from one of Gevrey-Chambertin’s cult producers. The nose is fresh and expressive, showing sweet cherry, raspberry and red berry fruit layered with violet, earth and subtle spice. There is a lifted aromatic profile with both floral elegance and underlying savoury complexity, reflecting the warm yet balanced 2022 vintage.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a vibrant, finely detailed structure and bright acidity. Red fruit, spice and earthy nuances are supported by fine tannins and a mineral edge, leading to a long, precise and youthful finish. Compared to many Bourgogne Rouge wines, this shows significantly more depth, tension and ageing potential.
