The 2022 Arnaud Mortet Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru La Perrière is a beautifully refined and intensely mineral Premier Cru Burgundy from one of Gevrey-Chambertin’s most exciting modern domaines. Sourced from two small old-vine parcels directly beneath Mazis-Chambertin on exceptionally stony limestone soils, La Perrière is one of the most distinctive terroirs in the appellation, known for producing wines of tension, elegance and remarkable persistence. Arnaud Mortet vinified the 2022 with around one-third whole bunches before ageing in French oak with roughly 25–30% new barrels, preserving the purity and freshness of the fruit while adding subtle structural depth. The warm 2022 vintage delivered excellent concentration, yet La Perrière retained striking freshness and mineral precision.
