2017 Domaine De La Pousse D'Or Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru Les Amoureuses

Vigorous fresh purple, the nose needs teasing out – there is clearly a considerable volume of fruit but we are tasting in the cellar at a cool temperature and it is not bounding out of the glass. There is a lovely weight of fresh red fruit on the palate but this may have been picked just a little too early. It will certainly hold up well though and the length is there. When I communicated these thoughts I was told that actually this is typical of their Amoureuses when young! – Jasper Morris, MW
