The 2018 Taupenot-Merme Mazoyeres Chambertin Grand Cru has a much more cohesive bouquet compared to the Charmes-Chambertin with more intense fruit - black cherries and raspberry, touches of bergamot coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, supple and lithe with impressive depth and persistence towards the spicy finish. Excellent.
