The 2021 Louis Jadot Meursault is a classic village Chardonnay from Meursault in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, one of the world's most celebrated villages for white Burgundy. Jadot's cuvée is assembled from several different sites across the appellation, with Narvaux and Les Tillets forming two of the most important components, bringing together the richness traditionally associated with Meursault and the freshness and mineral tension of its higher-slope vineyards. Importantly, Jadot notes that the blend also benefits from the inclusion of wine from several Premier Cru sites, giving this village-level Meursault additional depth and complexity. The difficult 2021 growing season - marked by severe April frost followed by a cool, wet summer - produced exceptionally small yields but wines with vibrant acidity, energy and purity.
