The 2023 Domaine Christian Moreau Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot is an exceptionally rare expression of one of Chablis’ seven Grand Cru climats, produced from a tiny 0.10-hectare parcel capable of yielding only around 600 bottles in a normal vintage. Blanchot lies at the eastern end of the Grand Cru slope, with a steep south-east exposure and particularly pale limestone-rich soils. Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils, now certified organic and with six generations of family history in Chablis, harvests all of its vineyards entirely by hand. In 2023, the domaine reported an excellent crop with both quality and quantity, followed by wines showing an attractive balance between richness and acidity.
