The 2021 Fervor Edward Syrah is a beautifully refined cool-climate Syrah from Western Australia’s Great Southern region, crafted by Fervor Wines to showcase the elegance and savoury complexity that this remarkable region can produce. Sourced from carefully selected vineyards and made with a restrained, minimal-intervention approach, the wine draws inspiration from the great Syrahs of the Northern Rhône while retaining a distinctly Australian sense of place.
The nose reveals blackberry, dark cherry and blueberry alongside notes of violet, cracked pepper, olive tapenade and smoked herbs. The palate is medium to full-bodied, combining vibrant dark fruit with fine-grained tannins and bright natural acidity. Layers of liquorice, graphite and savoury spice add depth and complexity, while the finish is long, poised and beautifully structured. The excellent 2021 vintage has produced a wine of exceptional balance, freshness and ageing potential.
