Deep dark colour with a bright purple edge; the bouquet confirms the freshness of this wine, with attractive cassis, raspberry and sweet cedary oak aromas, and just a light background of tobacco and briar, the palate full bodied and nicely balanced with appropriate tannins and a long, harmonious carry. A classy wine, and eerily quite Bordelaise. - 95 points, Huon Hooke
