Tar & Roses “The Fog” Nebbiolo 2024 is a flagship Australian expression of Nebbiolo, sourced from Heathcote. It shows classic varietal character with aromas of cherry, rose petal, and floral notes layered with hints of licorice, earth, and spice.
Good territory here. Pure black licorice aromas/flavours roll into redcurrant, sweet spice, earth and decayed red flowers. Itrs dry, savoury, fruit-driven and firm at once. It’s a bit surly at present but flavour, texture and tannin are all excellent. - 93 points, Campbell Mattinson
