Pinot Noir is a flagship red wine for Pooley Wines, representing a delicate yet complex expression of our cool-climate Tasmanian terroir, primarily from the Coal River Valley vineyards (Cooinda Vale and Butcher's Hill). Our winemaking focuses on creating an elegant and persistent wine that balances generous red and dark fruit character with fine, supple tannin and brilliant acidity. It is crafted using a blend of clones, often includes a component of whole bunch inclusion for added complexity, and is matured for an extended period in a mix of French oak barriques and puncheons, typically with a low percentage of new oak, to ensure seamless integration and cellarability.
