The 2022 Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz Museum Release Half Bottle (375ml) is a compact-format release of one of Australia's benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz blends from the Barossa, produced by the historic family-owned Yalumba estate. First released from the 1962 vintage, The Signature has become one of Yalumba's defining wines, with each vintage honouring an individual who has made an important contribution to the winery. The 51st release, 2022, honours Paul Midolo, Yalumba's former Executive Director of Sales, following almost three decades with the company. The vintage is a near-even 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Shiraz blend, and notably, all of the fruit comes from the Barossa in 2022. The low-cropping season produced excellent concentration while retaining the freshness and structure required for long-term ageing.
