The 2024 Nick O’Leary Shiraz is a vibrant cool-climate red from the Canberra District, showing the elegant, spicy character for which the region is known. The nose is perfumed with blackberry, blueberry and plum alongside violet, cracked black pepper and subtle savoury notes, giving the wine plenty of aromatic lift without feeling heavy.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied and beautifully poised, with juicy dark berry and plum fruit supported by bright acidity and fine, chalky tannins. Pepper, subtle charcuterie and gentle oak spice add savoury complexity, leading to a long, fresh and pepper-laced finish. The 2024 received 94 points from Halliday Wine Companion.
