The 2023 Back Beach by Portsea Estate Pinot Noir is an elegant cool-climate red from Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, sourced from grower vineyards across the region. The nose is vibrant and lifted, showing raspberry, crushed red berries and redcurrant alongside earthy spice and subtle oak.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with bright acidity and fine, savoury tannins. Around 10% whole-bunch fermentation adds spice and structure, while maturation mainly in older oak with approximately 5% new oak keeps the fruit fresh and defined through the balanced finish.
