2021 Catalina Sounds Sound of White Chardonnay comes from Marlborough, produced by Catalina Sounds from their single-vineyard site in the Waihopai Valley. The cool climate and low-yield vintage in 2021 produced fruit with exceptional concentration and freshness.
Aromatically the wine shows fresh pear, citrus and orchard fruit, layered with notes of baking spice, toasted almond and subtle buttery complexity from oak maturation and lees ageing. The palate is textured and creamy yet balanced by bright acidity, giving the wine both richness and precision with a long mineral finish.
