Reyneke has only ever made a couple of vintages of their "Natural Chenin". I personally find there are very few natural wines that are good and drinkable. However, there is always an exception. The 2017 Natural Chenin Blanc is clean with a citrus core with a beam of minerality. This wine is truly naked in its beauty. Pressed juice fermented in amphorae, was sent unfiltered, into the bottle without the use of oak. Natural wines generally let me down as neglected or faulted wine, this wine is anything but. There is no oak here as it is all amphora and has a good finish with a citrus mineral core. Bravo!
