The 2024 Kooyong Faultline Single Block Chardonnay comes from just 0.5 hectares of 28-year-old vines on the Mornington Peninsula. Its deep clay soils produce a fuller and more savoury expression than the neighbouring Farrago block, with aromas of grapefruit pith, lime blossom and white peach layered with flint, almond meal, freshly baked dough and restrained French oak.
On the palate, it is concentrated yet precise, with citrus and white stone fruit carried by bright, chalky acidity. Eleven months of lees maturation provides breadth and texture, while fine phenolics and saline minerality add structure. The finish is exceptionally long, focused and savoury, promising further complexity with bottle age.

At Wine More Cellars, this is a benchmark Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay, awarded 98 points and named 2027 Halliday Chardonnay of the Year. It is approachable now after brief aeration but will develop beautifully until 2036 and beyond. Ideal with oysters, seared scallops, grilled lobster, roast flathead, poached chicken or creamy seafood dishes
