The 2024 Frankland Estate Franc is an organically grown Cabernet Franc from the Isolation Ridge Vineyard in Frankland River, Western Australia, sourced from original vines planted in 1988. The vineyard’s ancient ironstone gravel and loam over clay contribute to the wine’s distinctive savoury character. The nose is lifted with redcurrant, cranberry, raspberry and cherry alongside violet, dried herbs, graphite and subtle tobacco notes.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied and energetic with juicy red fruit, fresh acidity and fine, chalky tannins. Savoury herbs and mineral notes add complexity, while maturation in older, larger-format French oak keeps the fruit bright and the oak influence restrained.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Cabernet Franc drinkers who enjoy fragrant, medium-bodied reds with fresh fruit, savoury complexity and fine tannins.
