Taittinger is one of the oldest Champagne houses still owned and operated by the family whose name appears on the label. The hallmark of the brand’s fine Champagne is the high proportion of Chardonnay used in its winemaking, which is the key to producing wines of great elegance and finesse.
Champagne Taittinger celebrates the pleasures of life. A non-vintage Cuvée that’s generously flavoured with very precise zesty freshness and gentle toasty complexity, it makes an ideal accompaniment to seafood mollusks, such as oysters, mussels or clams. Enjoy it at any celebration, though just as good at the dinner table. 'With a little more chardonnay in the blend than most NVs, comes with 40 per cent versus about 33 per cent - the remainder pinot noir and pinot meunier. Good old Taitts giggles on the light and cheery side of champagne, with seemingly little lees-aged character. Nevertheless, it's a lovely, delicate aperitif-style with the lightness of chardonnay and delicious brioche-like nuances of pinot meunier.
