Crafted using the same philosophy as Bindi’s flagship Chardonnays - with wild yeast fermentation, barrel fermentation and extended lees maturation - the 2024 release represents another step forward in the evolution of this exciting vineyard.
The nose is bright and beautifully expressive, revealing aromas of lemon zest, grapefruit and white peach layered with orange blossom, citrus flowers and delicate spice. As the wine opens, notes of cashew, hazelnut and subtle flinty reduction emerge, complemented by hints of oatmeal and crushed granite. The aromatic profile is refined and energetic, balancing vibrant citrus fruit with savoury complexity and a distinctly mineral edge.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a silky texture, vibrant natural acidity and impressive concentration. Layers of lemon, white nectarine and grapefruit are supported by subtle lees-derived creaminess and beautifully integrated French oak. The granite soils contribute a distinctive chalky mineral backbone, while the extended time on lees adds depth and texture without sacrificing freshness. The finish is long, precise and persistent, carrying lingering notes of citrus peel, cashew, flint and crushed stone.
