The 2022 Battle of Bosworth Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from certified organic vineyards in McLaren Vale, where the Bosworth family has been producing terroir-driven wines for more than two decades. Made from estate-grown fruit and traditionally vinified, the wine reflects the depth, generosity and Mediterranean character that make McLaren Vale such a distinctive home for Cabernet Sauvignon.
The nose reveals blackcurrant, blackberry and mulberry alongside notes of bay leaf, cedar, dark chocolate and earthy spice. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is rich and supple, with ripe dark fruit, fine tannins and fresh acidity carrying through a long, savoury finish. Natalie MacLean praised its black fruit, olive and dark chocolate character, while The Real Review ranked it among the top McLaren Vale Cabernet releases of the vintage.
Ben’s Recommendation:
A superb value organic Cabernet that delivers classic McLaren Vale character without excessive weight or oak. Rich, approachable and highly food-friendly, it pairs beautifully with grilled steak, roast lamb, beef ragù, burgers and aged cheddar. Enjoy now with a short decant or cellar through 2030–2032 as it develops additional complexity.
