The 2023 Massetino Toscana IGT Half Bottle (375ml) is a refined and expressive Super Tuscan crafted predominantly from Merlot with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc, sourced from the famed Masseto hill in Bolgheri. Produced by Tenuta dell’Ornellaia, Massetino is considered the "second wine" of the iconic Masseto, offering a more approachable interpretation while maintaining the estate’s hallmark precision and depth. The nose is highly aromatic and polished, showing ripe black cherry, plum and cassis layered with violet, cocoa, graphite and subtle sweet spice.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a silky, velvety texture supported by fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Flavours of dark fruit and spice are complemented by a savoury, mineral edge, leading to a long, elegant and refined finish.
