2026-little-reddie-riesling
2026 Little Reddie Riesling

The 2026 Little Reddie Riesling is a vibrant Central Victorian white from Dash Farm on the western slopes of Leanganook (Mount Alexander), where the Riesling vines sit at around 490 metres on quartz and feldspar-rich decomposed granite soils. The wine shows lifted lime, lemon zest and white flowers alongside juicy white peach and fresh orchard fruit. The fruit was harvested later for greater flavour depth, giving the wine a generous yet focused character.

On the palate, it is bright and finely textured, with layers of citrus, orchard fruit and ripe white peach supported by vibrant acidity. Lemon and lime provide freshness, while white peach and subtle floral notes add generosity and depth. The 2026 release is drier than previous vintages, giving the wine a more focused, savoury feel while retaining its generous texture. A fine mineral character adds tension and length, leading to a dry, clean and persistent finish with lingering citrus, orchard fruit and delicate floral notes.

Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Riesling drinkers who enjoy expressive Australian whites with bright acidity, generous fruit and mineral freshness. Its combination of ripe fruit and dry, focused structure makes it particularly versatile with food. Best enjoyed over the next 4–7 years, with the potential to develop additional citrus and savoury complexity in bottle. Serve chilled with oysters, kingfish ceviche, grilled fish with lemon and herbs, Thai green papaya salad, roast chicken with preserved lemon, or goat’s cheese and herb tart.

Info

COUNTRY

Australia

PRODUCER

Little Reddie

VARIETY

Riesling

STYLE

White Wine

VINTAGE

2026

SIZE

750ml
