The site’s stony soils and cooler exposure help produce wines with remarkable fragrance, precision and natural acidity. It shows ripe peach, apricot and pear alongside lemon, lime, white flowers and subtle slate-like mineral notes. The 2024 vintage gives the wine a graceful combination of concentrated fruit and refreshing freshness.

On the palate, it is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, with lively acidity supporting layers of ripe stone fruit, citrus and orchard fruit. White peach and apricot are complemented by pear, lemon zest and delicate floral notes, while a fine mineral character provides tension and length. The Spätlese sweetness is present but well integrated, with vibrant acidity keeping the palate energetic and mouth-watering rather than heavy. Subtle honeyed and herbal nuances emerge as the wine opens, leading to a long, clean and persistent finish with lingering citrus, stone fruit and mineral notes.

Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Riesling drinkers who enjoy elegant German Spätlese with ripe fruit, balanced sweetness and refreshing acidity. It is approachable young but has the structure to develop greater honeyed, citrus and mineral complexity with bottle age. Best enjoyed over the next 8–15 years. Serve well chilled with roast duck and peach, pork with apple and mustard, spicy Thai or Vietnamese dishes, foie gras, or apricot and almond tart.

Info

COUNTRY

German

PRODUCER

Robert Weil

VARIETY

Riesling

STYLE

White Wine / Spätlese

VINTAGE

2024

SIZE

750ml

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0574/6779/7699/files/2024RobertWeilKiedrichGrafenbergRieslingSpatlese.png?v=1793734922
