The Sangiovese vines were planted in 1998 at around 460 metres elevation on sandy loam over siltstone and sandstone. The wine shows bright red cherry and darker berry fruit alongside citrus peel, herbs, pepper and savoury spice.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eOn the palate, it is medium-bodied and energetic, with fresh acidity, fine but persistent tannins and a savoury, spicy finish.
