2017 Bannockburn Pinot Noir
Excellent winter rains followed by a relatively mild summer resulted in slow ripening season, with retention of natural acidity, producing vibrant varietal flavours in the 2017 wines. The hand harvested fruit was wild fermented with 20% whole bunch and then matured for 12 months in French oak. Lifted red fruits, savoury notes, bright acid and fine tannin ensure immediate enjoyable drinking, though this Pinot Noir will reward medium term cellaring.
