Decades of ageing have developed remarkable depth and complexity while preserving the vibrant acidity characteristic of Madeira. The nose reveals layered aromas of dried apricots, candied orange peel, roasted almonds and golden raisins, complemented by hints of toasted walnuts, warm spices, polished wood and delicate caramel.

On the palate, it is medium-bodied and elegantly structured, with restrained sweetness balanced by lively acidity and a refined, savoury character. Flavours of orange marmalade, dried figs, toasted hazelnuts and caramelised citrus unfold alongside subtle notes of black tea, coffee and gentle spice. The texture is smooth and concentrated, leading to a long, persistent finish with lingering impressions of roasted nuts, citrus peel and complex oxidative notes.

Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for collectors and enthusiasts seeking a mature vintage Madeira with distinctive depth and balance.
